Yes, since Apple keeps track of in-app purchases all you will need to do is select to purchase the template(s) again and Apple will allow you to download them again at no cost.  We can also provide text copies of the templates to you if you are having difficulty downloading them again through the app.

Cassonda, I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to your data!  Unfortunately there is most likely nothing that can be done at this point.  :( 

Did anything out of the ordinary happen to your iPad before this happened?  For example, was it backed-up, updated, or restored around the time that this happened?

Although I do not know what may have caused your database to crash (it sounds like that is what happened), I have asked our developers to look into it and see if anything can be actively done to prevent this type of thing from happening in the future.

Thanks for this suggestion as well.  One possible workaround for you might be to use the search area in the client view.  Using the search box you can search for the company name, and all of the people in that company will display in the list below.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I'm not sure I understand though; the Contract list does include the date.  Can you explain this a little more?  Also, as  a possible workaround for you, you can actually see a list of the contracts in the client record itself.  Just click the Clients tab, and then click on your client's name, and you will see the different contracts that have been created for that client and their associated dates.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having some trouble with the keywords.  From the description of your issue, it sounds like you may have some extra spaces in some of your keywords.  The extra spaces can cause the keyword duplication, and it can make what seems to be a correct keyword not auto-populate correctly.

A bug has been reported by users of the New iPad that the signature areas are not clickable, which in turn does not allow the signing of contracts.

This cause of this issue has been determined to be the new retina display, and we have submitted an update to Apple which resolves the issue.  The update was submitted to Apple on March 21st, and it generally takes about a week for Apple to review and release our updates.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with the client import screen.  We'd love to get it resolved; could you please help us out by doing the following?

* Take a screenshot of the details screens for one of the names within your Address Book
* Take a screenshot of the client "Import" screen within our application, showing the list of names without their last names being displayed.  Preferably showing the name in the list that you originally took the screenshot for in your Address Book.
* Email both screenshots to contact@portablecontracts.com

Once we have the screenshots, we can try and replicate the issue by entering the exact same information that we see on the Address Book screenshot.  If  we are able to replicate the issue, we can get it resolved.

Sorry for the trouble with this!  Hopefully we can get it resolved ASAP.

Oh!  One more thing... after the clients are imported, does the app display their first and last names in the left panel within the Clients tab?  Or does it only display their first names, like on the import screen?  If it only displays their first names, we would appreciate a screenshot showing the client details screen within the Portable Contracts app as well.  The more information we can get, the quicker we can get this resolved.

I just purchased this app. When I try to import clients from my iPad contact, I'm shown only first names, and many are duplicates (which are not duplicated in my address book), making it nearly impossible to find and import particular clients. Is this a bug, or just poor design?

Hello, Chris. The application was designed and developed to display both the first and last names, if they are available within the iPad contact application.  We have not been able to reproduce the issue you have mentioned.  Is it possible that your contacts were not put into the contacts app correctly?

Thanks for the suggestion!  The client keyword option (which will function similar to profile keyword option) is something that is on our future development list, although there is no estimated time for completion on it.

Bug Report: The date pickers do not save the selected values when a region other than US is selected in the iPad's settings.

Workaround: While this is being corrected in the app, you can get around this issue by swapping out the "Date" and "Date Time" keywords with "Small Text" keywords.  By using Small Text keywords, you can type in the dates to be whatever you would like them to be, and no date picker will be used.
